Ordering and Payment

How do I place an order on Cakeland?

Placing an order on Cakeland is simple. Browse our wide selection of cakes, select the one you love, customize it if needed, add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards and mobile cash options like mCash and eZ Cash. KOKO payment is also coming soon.

Can I modify or cancel my order after it’s been placed?

You can modify your order within an hour of placing it. Please contact our customer service for modifications or cancellations.

Delivery and Pickup

What are the delivery options available?

Cakeland does not handle direct delivery. Sellers are responsible for delivering orders to customers. They charge Rs.100 per kilometer for delivery, and customers must pay the seller in cash. Cakeland is not responsible for the delivery process.

How long does delivery take?

Customers can schedule delivery for a specific date during checkout. Orders are typically prepared within 3 days. For example, if today is the 22nd, you can select a delivery date of the 25th.

Can I customize my cake order?

Yes, you can customize your cake order. During the ordering process, you'll have options to select flavors, sizes, and decorations according to your preferences. Additionally, you can upload custom images on the single product page and add custom notes during checkout.

What types of cakes do you offer?

We offer a wide variety of cakes including classic flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet, as well as specialty cakes like fruit cakes.

Are your cakes suitable for people with dietary restrictions?

We strive to accommodate various dietary needs. Please check the product descriptions for information on allergens, or contact the seller to discuss specific dietary requirements.

How do I create an account on Cakeland?

To create an account, click on the avatar at the top right corner of the homepage or visit www.cakeland.lk/account/ and click "Register." Follow the prompts to enter your details and complete your registration.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

If you've forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. Enter your registered email address, and you’ll receive instructions on how to reset your password.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return policy?

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns. However, if you do not pick up your order or if there was an issue with your order, please contact our customer service team to discuss your situation.

How do I request a refund?

If you need to request a refund, please contact our customer service team within one hour of placing your order. If your cancellation request is approved, a 15% cancellation fee will apply, and the refund will be processed to the original payment method within a maximum of 5 days.

What should I do if my cake arrives damaged?

Inspect the contents of your delivery upon arrival. If you are not satisfied with the look of your cake, you are not obligated to accept it and will receive a full refund. If the cake has been accepted, we do not bear responsibility for any subsequent damages, and no refund will be provided.

What if I have issues with the taste or quality of the cake?

If you feel the taste or quality of the cake does not meet your expectations, please contact us at contact@cakeland.lk with your concerns. We will review your complaint and either issue a refund or send a replacement cake, based on our evaluation of the issue.

Can I exchange my cake?

Exchanges are not available as cakes are perishable products.

How long does it take to process a refund?

Refunds are processed within 5 business days after we receive your request. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
